My birth was unusual. I was a post mature baby, coming out of my mother’s womb smoothly after 10 months in a beautiful city of Bhubaneswar. I did my English honors graduate and pursued Master’s in Personal Management and Industrial Research. With these educational degrees and positive outlook, I started my career as an HR Consultant in Axis Outsourcing Pvt. Ltd. based in Bhubaneswar. After working there for 2 years, I took a job as an IT Recruiter in Niranta Solutions and Services Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore. This was the first time in my life, I left home and started living alone in a different state. The 8 months that I spent there as an independent women were the best days of my life.

According to my friends and family, I am the most cheerful, motivated and responsible women that one can meet, and I have this smile that can really lighten up a room. But, only I know the pain behind this smile. In 2013, I got a job offer from TCS with a very good hike. Just as Modiji used to say in his campaign, “Ache Din aane waale hai”, I was on cloud nine. But suddenly out of nowhere, a dark cloud came in and smashed our family. My dad had expired. This incident shook me to the very core. I was traumatized, and was in severe depression for a long time. I left my job, and sat at home for 4 years. I tried to be as strong as my father was, and took care of my family. My name is Jayshree, which means Goddess of Victory, and I cannot be victorious sitting in my house. So in 2017, I finally decided that it’s time to hustle and fight back. I may have been a carefree and happy-go-lucky woman before this, but now I was more sincere and responsible.

After some more hustle, I finally got a job as an HR Consultant in Infosys Bhubaneswar in 2017. Opportunity to work with Infosys was one of the best things that has happened to me. My life took a different turn, a brighter turn. The work environment, the colleagues, the campus made me fall in love with this company. The positive vibes of Infosys culture is so infectious that, anyone who joins here thinks a thousand times before switching to a high salary job.

I am not only a hardcore professional but I also have a knack for painting. I love to do idol painting and water paintings. Whenever I feel sad or am free, I paint. In future, as everyone, I do have the greed to switch to a new job, but right I am happy and content with my current job.

To all the young professionals out there, who are about to start their career or have just started, Do whatever your heart wants. Just remember one thing, whatever you do, do it with all your heart, enjoy the process and you will get what you yearn for. Never give up in life, and whenever life gives you lemons, take some sugar, some water and make a lemonade.
